Rap Battles is truly a Gem in it I got to meet up and Interview Joel Rhoden ,CEO and producer at Remotion Media lets hear what he had to say.

Racheal Chie:Hie Mr Rhoden,thank you for taking your time to chill with us on the JamSpot.

Joel Rhoden:Thank you its a pleasure to be here.

Racheal:Now can you take us through who Joel Rhoden is and what he does?

Joel Rhoden:Well Joel Rhoden is a CEO at Remonition Media based at a recording Studio in the UK.On a day to day basis we do music videos for local artists on the label such as Stokeeze Marvin G and others.Joel is also a DJ,I Dj every weekend and Im an actor.Im currently looking to film , record Rap Battles and feature them on the Rap Battles page calling it King of the Ring and also live on the page with no restrictions to who whoever wants to battle Internationally.

Racheal Chie:Wow so Mr Rhoden is a Jack of All Trades and a man with a plan and a distinctive passion for music and the arts,where did it start,how did you fall in love with music?

Joel Rhoden:Started when I was younger doing plays.I was always involved in anything that had to do with the media.And having a family that loved music with relatives that Dj for Stone Love a big group that travel internationally I guess influenced that.

I just felt like I was suited for the same thing.I always wanted to create music videos,but it was after creating my first music video and graduating in Proffessional Broadcasting that I knew what my goal wanted to be.

Racheal Chie:So in a way you found your true calling.How many artists have you signed so far?

Joel Rhoden:Far by the end of the month I can Increase to ten.

Racheal Chie:Why so does your label have variety of artists or is does it just house rappers and the hip hop genre?

Joel Rhoden:Variety as I have singers and a band that Im currently managing at the moment too,but at the moment those who are actually signed are the hip hop artists.

Racheal Chie:Okay so since entering into the music business and showbiz what can you say are the challenges?

Joel Rhoden:People trying to under cut you or because they have the best equipment, charge more with less experience.And people befriending you so that they don't have to pay for services.Usually I let them know before hand that a lot of time and effort will be going into helping them create something that they generally wouldn't be able to.

Racheal Chie:Now I know every parent wants the best for their child in everything they do.

What do your parents think of your career choice?

Joel Rhoden:My mom is proud and very supportive of me.

She has beaten cancer twice and in a way It kinda set me back mentally.

But it is also what pushed me ,inspired me to go this far.

My dad also supports me in everything I do.

Racheal Chie:Wow that is so great, you know many parents lack that mentality to support their children in their God given talents,instead of nurturing them they intend to bury them.

Thinking that its just a phase, or that fame or getting exposed could actually hurt them.

I mean you hear a lot of stories especially about the girl child where they are taken advantage of.

Do you think the entertainment Industry is biased against girls?

Joel Rhoden:Its hard personally I think because the people in the right positions If they are male don't act as they professionally should when it comes to working with girls unless thay have something to offer.

I have seen a lot of production assistants wanting to work with artists but they don't just come across as wanting to work in the right manner if you get me.

Racheal Chie:Okay so clearly parents have a right to worry and people in this Industry need to clean up their act for a better world.

So now Im gonna ask you a question you have been probably been asked by your peers a lot of times

Who are your top five rappers,who inspired you to rap and why?

Joel Rhoden:Well, Tupac, Busta Ryhmes,Biggie,Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube.

Tupac and Biggie because they have been the greatest of all time,Snoop Dogg cause of the vibe I get from listening to him and Busta cause of the creativity and speed of rapping.

Ice Cube cause he has gone from rapping to acting which I have a big interest in.

Racheal Chie:Okay so a lot of people get into the music business for different reasons,others for fame and fortune.

What can you say is the drive behind your passion?

Joel Rhoden:Im in it to be able to help people to get where they need to be.

And also back myself financially.

Im more about the business than the fame.

You can get trapped easier but getting famous is a lot easier than getting fortune.

Racheal Chie:On to more jucier personal questions,does Joel Rhoden have a girl friend?

Joel Rhoden:Yes and we been together for five years,she also supports the work that I do.

Racheal Chie:That's incredible,so I heard you say that you might want to sign some peeps in Rap Battles ,do you have anyone you might have your eyes on so far?

Joel Rhoden:Stokzee Cleveland Waxx,Im checking out five songs that I get sent daily,its a bit hard

I have to choose out of until next month Im looking to get each artists to work with each other.

I have Stokezee doing live streams.

I get to listen to tracks and also go off what others rate it ,there's a few other UK artists that I have heard I have to listen to next.

Racheal Chie:That is so dope and amazing.There is so much talent around RB and Im glad that there are people like you to help them out.

So for the last and final question ,what advice would you give to someone out there who has the same ambitions as you do but does not know where to start?

Joel Rhoden:Write everything you want to do down, and try to tick all the boxes, if it works move on to the next thing.If it doesn't keep practising.

The best Ideas come from brainstorming your vision.
