Joyner Lucas, Logic squash beef with eyebrow-raising “ISIS” collab The song will feature on Lucas’ f

After years of exchanging diss tracks, it seems like Joyner Lucas and Logic have finally called a truce. Yesterday, the rappers linked up for a brand-new collab titled “ISIS,” which arrived alongside a militant-themed music video.

The song’s controversial title aside, the Nox Beatz-produced track actually has nothing to do with the Middle Eastern terrorist group.

Instead, the song is a jibe at the rappers’ naysayers. “My high school teacher said I’d never be shit / Tell that bitch that I turned out just fine,” Lucas spits on the opening before Logic steps in with his own fiery verse.

The rappers also took to Twitter to confirm that the collab marked the end of their long-standing feud.

The rivalry between Lucas and Logic sparked back in 2016 when they both appeared on Tech N9ne’s The Storm cut, “Sriracha.” In an interview with Complex, Lucas explained that the song was initially only supposed to feature Logic, but Tech N9ne later let the “Devil’s Work” rapper jump on the track too. “I could just tell [Logic] wasn’t too happy with me being on that record. I just knew,” Lucas said.

In 2017, things got even more heated when Logic dropped his song “1-800-273-8255” around the same time Lucas released his fourth mixtape 508-507-2209. Lucas claimed that Logic allegedly stole his phone-number-as-title idea but didn’t want to “bash [Logic over] a suicide record.” “[But] like come on bro. There’s too much stuff that make me feel a type of way,” Lucas told Billboard at the time. “I feel by now the cat should’ve reached out, but it is what it is. It’s not like I’m mad at him like that, I just think he’s corny.”

Two years on and it looks like they’ve both buried the hatchet. “ISIS” is set to appear on Lucas’ upcoming album, ADHD, out later this year. Check out the video for their latest collab below:
